Research Activities The main research activities of the Atmospheric Science Research Group are centered around the physical and chemical properties of aerosols and gaseous species in the marine coastal environment and their ultimate role in global climate change. Instrumental calibration work is carried out in the laboratories of the Atmospheric Science Research Group in the Departmentof Experimental Physics, using aerosol generation and calibration techniques/equipment. Most of the experimental research work is carried out at the Mace Head Research Station. Follow the links below for more detailed descriptions of the Group's research activities.
